    It was a cold, foggy day in Los Angeles. The Thompson Hotel moved their breakfast from the Terrace to the Bar Lis. The heater was on. The place is cozy and the decor is on point. Our waiter also served us last night when we came in for a drink. He was great both times. My friend ordered the French toast. She thought it was OK. It looked very dark. I ordered shashuka which is my second time. I loved this dish. It has a tomato base along with garbanzo beans and fried eggs. You put all this on a pita bread. It was more very filling.

    I couldn't book a reservation here, so I emailed them, and they booked it for me! We loved the decor, fountain, pool, rooftop views, and pretty flowery cocktails! I will definitely be back!

    Overpriced place. While the drinks are delicious, they are on the pricier side, which is expected given the location and ambiance. Menu is not giving lots of choices and overpriced. The place is beautiful and good for just visiting for live music evenings which you have yo book in advance otherwise you'll be kicked out.
